Corkscrew hair bows

I know how to make the corkscrew hair bows. They are simple and fun
You need:
crossgrain ribbon of your choice
thread
needle
1/4" dowels...about 9 inches long (I have some but not enough if everyone wanted to make them)
wooden clothes pins (Once again I do have some)

hot glue?
